24 DecWebsite Review – Nitrousdirect.com

nitrous oxide logo
The website I’ll be reviewing today is www.nitrousdirect.com. This site has a focus on Nitrous Oxide, as pertains to automobiles. If you’re looking for NOS then Jegs is probably your best bet.

Whether you’re a rookie trying to break into the Nitrous Oxide racing world with a few questions, or the seasoned veteran racer looking to pick up some parts, this site seems to have it all.

I won’t pretend to be an expert in this field, but this site appears to be wide ranging and well put together.

Just by browsing through the site, I have learned a little bit about Nitrous Oxide. For instance, I never knew you could put these nitrous kits on snowmobiles and motorcycles!

Aside from picking up a lot of information, this website has a fully functioning shopping cart system so you can place orders for your Nirtous Oxide kit needs.

They top this site off with a picture gallery, to have a look at what eeryone else is doing.

My wife sent me this link, and I will get a free Mr. SMiley T-shirt. Is it really free? I took a look at the TOS and it appears to be free, but there is one small catch.

23 DecWalmart, Thanks for screwing up my son’s Christmas

harley davidson motorcycle image

We ordered the Power Wheels Classic Chrome Harley-Davidson Motorcycle from Walmart.com and it was delivered to my home about two weeks ago.

This Wednesday, I began putting the bike together so it could be assembled and sitting by the Christmas Tree Sunday morning.

I thought it was a little odd that the box appeared to have been opened before. I had not noticed this when the box was deivered. I have never had a good experience with pre-opened boxes.

As I was an hour into assembly, I realized that I was missing a piece. It was the steering bushing, and I needed it.

I called the 1-800 number printed on the assembly instructions, and after many different numeric entries, I finally got to speak with a human.

I ave all my information to the man, and he told me the part will be mailed out the following day from New York.

We recently received an email stating that the parts have shipped, and will be here in 7-10 days. This will be well after Christmas. This negetive experience has taught me not to buy from Walmart’s website. I cannot trust the product I’ll be getting. I think I will stick to Amazon.com in the coming years.

Thanks Walmart, for screwing my son out of his new motorcycle for Christmas.

23 DecWebsite Review – Broadbandbanter.com

broadband banter logo

Today, I’ll be taking a look at The Broadband Banter.

BroadbandBanter is a vBulletin based discussion board that’s forums are built around the Broadband “Tech” crowd.

I took a browse through some of the forums, and didn’t understand half of what I was reading.(It’s pretty technical)

Some of the newsgroup topics are:
General DSL & broadband
Cable Modems
ISDN
Satellite Internet Access
UK broadband
VOIP – Voice Over IP

There seems to be a wealthof information in these forums. There are currently 283 members that have posted over 107,000 different posts!

Registering on this site is free and easy. Guests are able to view the posts, but you must be a registered user in order to participate.

This forum also serves as a hub to other Banter Sites.

I admit, this site’s content is a bit over my head. This would be a valuable resource for the person who is very involved in this field.

22 DecMel Gibson’s New Movie – Apocalypto

Mel Gibson image
Mel Gibson is coming out with a new movie. It’s called Apocalypto. You can view the movie trailers here. I really haven’t heard anything about this movie, but based on past experience, I would think it’ll be pretty good.

22 DecImpeach Bush?

I’ve seen all the left wing democrats calling for impeachment of George Bush because he authorized wiretaps of knows Al Qaeda operatives working withing the United States. As it turns out, Bill Clinton did the exact same thing. Here is the text of his executive Order:

22 DecChase Credits Cards: Bad Business

I am furious right now, and I will try to vent some of my anger by unleashing the power of my blog.

Back in September, I purchased this domain for $9.95. Shortly thereafter, according to my emails that I never delete, I received a confirmation of a payment I had just paid online.

My Website purchase was not on this bill.

Today, I received an online bill from Chase and I went to pay it. I was shocked that I had a balance of $11.95 and was 2 months past due. I was furious.

It had not occurred to me the bill with the domain name charges had never come. I am used to not getting bills from Chase, because I rarely use them.

I called the customer service number, and was put on with a woman in India. She was quite rude with me. When I told might be having a problem getting my e-bills, she further pissed me off by giving me the “uh huh”. Why not just come out and call me a liar?

I have had an account with them for longer than I can remember, and NEVER been late on a payment. In fact, I have never been late for any payment of any sort to any creditor!

I wanted to talk to someone else about my emails. This woman was not wanting to help me.

I was transferred twice before I was speaking to some guy back in customer service. I told him my situation for the third time, and he was not understanding. I told him I paid the Indian woman, and wanted to go back to regular mail bills.

Where we butted heads was when I went on to tell him that I refuse to have an available credit line of $11,000 and carry a ridiculous interest rate of 28.24%, which is where they crank it up to if you’re late.

He told me that there is not an available interest rate lower than that for me now, but they review my credit report every six months and something might come available.

It took all I had not to cuss him out. I told him to close the account.

He then went through his required script that I could not understand because he was reading so fast, in a hurry to get off the phone with me.

I also have an Amazon.com credit card which is through Chase bank. I will be closing this account also.

I am calling for a worldwide boycott of Chase Credit cards. Their service is unacceptable. I don’t feel they deserve anyone’s business.

I plan to submit a link to this page to Chase Customer service as well as area newspapers. I will continue to post on this.

22 DecWebsite Review – Travel-plan-idea.com

Today, I’ll be reviewing the website www.travel-plan-idea.com.

This site is set up as a blog, and is focused on making vacation plans.

The author of this site covers a wide range of travel related topincs such as hotels, traveling with pets, and a whole lot more.

This blog appears to be updated several times wekly, and has archived dating back to January, 2004.

There are additional travel related links available here that will land you at travel directories, hotel advisor, and several others.

There are a variety of travel related books available for sale, new and used.

Though I don’t travel very often, I might not get much use out of this website.

Whether it be traveling by land or air, foreign or domestic, this site might be a good read.

22 DecBradsblog Blogspam

Bradsblog has been on this new domain for about three months now, and I am used to getting my occassional comment spam from time to time. It is never more than a few a day. Last night, I endured my worst attack since publishing on WordPress.

I took 32 hits last night. Luckily, none of them actually got through to the comments but it is very annoying. I am pondering installing akismet to help me with this growing problem.

If you have any experience with ths program, I would appreciate yur inputs!

21 DecWebsite Review – Hillary-Rodham-Clinton.org

hillary clinton website review image
When I agreed to give a review of this site, I decided that I will not let my political preference get in the way of giving an honest review.

With that in mind, let’s dive in.

I’d like to just start by recommending viewing this site with Internet Explorer. When I initially used Firefox, I had some isues with a couple of the pages.

www.hillary-rodham-clinton.org is a very basic website, and serves as a bio for Senator Hillary Clinton.

This is not the official website for Hillary Rodham Clinton, but a Hillary lover might like to take a browse here.

There is a page for each of the major milestones of her life, and how she got to where she is today.

There is also a page that discusses her possible bid for the Presidency in 2008.

The resources page will take you to other Hillary related websites.

It would appear as if the site is growing, and will eventually offer news and events, as well as other Democratic Party information.
