19 JanWebsite Review – Lasers-hair-removal.info

The next of my website reviews is www.lasers-hair-removal.info.

Taking a look at this site, I found that it is set up in a blog format. The color scheme is appealing, and is packed full of information pertaining to laser hair removal. Some of the categories that I decided to read into are as follows:

Laser Removal Device- This category discusses the equipment used in laser hair removal procedures.

Hair Removal Guide- Discusses things like consultations and the pressure people might feel to have such a procedure.

Navigating around the site, I realized that this is still a relatively new site, and the archives date back to August, 2005.

If I were one that was considering laser hair removal, I might find this site quite useful.

19 JanWebsite Review – Directory-submission.net

directory submission logo
This morning I’m reviewing a website called www.directory-submission.net.

This site is quite unique, and as a webmaster and wannabe writer, I could find it quite useful.

In the Freelance Writers area, you can pay a fee of $20 to have an article written up about a new website, product or service you would like to promote. I believe this is very reasonable price for this service.

I then went on to the Article Submission page. I was quite curious about this area, becasue I have written several articles and actually submitted them to various sites to be published. This is normally a time consuming chore, so this is a useful service. They didn’t make it clear how many different sites they sumit your article to, so I would have to ask that before signing on.

One of the first things I do after I start a new website is submit the url to various directories. This helps get your site’s traffic going. This site also offers a directory submission service. For $30 they will submit your site to at least 100 different directories. They claim to do it manually, which is the only way to do it as far as I’m concerned.

Located in the sidebar, they offer several link building articles to help get your new website off the ground.

My overall judgement of this website is that it could prove to be quite usefull to anyone who launches a website and either doesn’t have time to do all the legwork themselves, or simply don’t know how to do it.

18 JanWebsite Review – Alivedirectory.com

Alivedirectory image
The next site I will review is a website directory called www.alivedirectory.com.

Judging by the amount of sites listed on here, it appears to be a relatively new site. (roughly 200 listings)

I have submitted my websites to many directories, so I have experience with these. Alivedirectory is a bit different than most than I have seen, mostly because the site is easy to navigate and is not overrun with ads.

Another point worth making is that it is not limited to a certain subject matter. The are many categories and hundreds of sub categories. There is also a Top Hits link, which seems to be a good feature.

The only drawback that I see from a webmaster’s point of view, is that this is not a free directory to submit to. I like the free ones. However, being a paid directory means that as someone browsing the listings, I won’t come across as many “junk” sites. This would also explain why there aren’t ads plastered everywhere.

18 JanWebsite Review – Excessively.net

Toda I’ll take a look at a website that alows you to play free games online. It’s called www.excessively.net.

There are eight different game categories that you can choose from, and there are a LOT of games!

When I first came to the site, I was drawn to Super Mario 2. I decided to give it a try and relive my old Nintendo days. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to download anything. The quality of the game isn’t near what you can get from an expensive game console, but it was free and enjoyable.

Next I played Memory. There wasn’t really much to say about it, other than it plays like any other online memory game.

I am overall pleased with this website. I normally don’t play games, but I will bookmark this site anyway. This, for me, is perfect for when we have company and some kids want to play on the computer. This will allow them to play games and I don’t have to worry about them downloading a bunch of garbage to my computer.

15 JanUpdate: United Airlines

Readers,

I finally received a reply United from my original post; however I am not happy with their reply.

For all my grief, they offered me and my family each $100.00 discounts on our next flight originating from the U.S. For those of you who know me, this “gesture of good faith” does nothing for a military family serving overseas who only returns to the States every several years.

This is the letter and my reply…..I’ll keep you posted.

Mr. Sharma,

I appreciate the reply from United; however, I am disappointed and feel insulted by the gesture of good faith by United. Specifically, I mentioned I am in the U.S. military serving overseas. This was the first time in three years my family and I visited the United States. Offering me a $100.00 discount on a ticket that must be generated in the United States, within a couple years does absolutely nothing for me an my family.

Long lines and missing luggage aside, I would like to readdress the issue of sitting 3 1/2 hours on the runway while in Dayton. To date, I have received no explanation as to why. This specific issue was run on CNN recently discussing how airline passengers are treated like animals in a cage and yet, United continues this practice. I can understand weather delays are unpredictable, but why would you knowingly load your passengers on the plane and pull away from the terminal for an extended delay? Additionally, I know for fact (I heard the heated cell phone conversation) that the passenger in front of me was given first class round trip tickets to shut him up.

You apologized four times and understand stated you understand my disappointment, I would ask that you give me and my family a gesture of good faith in the form of free round trip tickets, class upgrades or miles. As stated, $100.00 discount will do nothing for me.

Finally, my situation is currently being followed on the following sites:
