Today I decided this blog is too common looking. I’ve seen many with the same theme as this. I think I will start shopping for a new theme and modify that one. Keep your eyes peeled for a new look!

26 AugDon’t let love get in the way of Divorce!

Please don’t get me wrong, I don’t like to see divorces happen. However, if things look like they’re going down that path, you need to be smart about it.
I am no expert, I’m happily married. In the last several years I have had friends who’s wives have gone to the wild side, then wanted out.
The wives get lawyers, but the guys seem to not want to get legal advice because, I think, they feel it will only make divorce immenant.
The end result of waiting until the last minute is they get screwed over big time!
If divorce is a probability, please do yourself a favor – Listen to what all your friends are telling you…Get a lawyer!
24 AugPrescription Flavoring for Kids

I have three kids, so I know the deal with this stuff. You get some awful tasting medicine for your child, and they’ll spike it with a squirt of fruit flavoring of your choice for two dollors so they’ll actually drink it.
What is so special about this stuff so that it costs so much? Can’t I just add my own flavor like Kool-aid or something?
If anyone can shed some light on this, please let me know!
23 AugClamping down on Blog Links
Today I was approving links on my Blog Directory and as usual, I had almost 100 links waiting for approval. I am growing more and more frustrated with the amount of links submitted that are not blogs. I think I make it clear that only blogs, and blogging related sites will be approved, yet the amount of Indian travel sites I get are unreal.
I guess I can expect that with a free directory.
I have decided that I am going to look into buying an upgrade for the directory, and maybe I can do a mass delete or something like that.
I also decided that I am going to get a bit more selective on the sites I approve. I will no longer be approving sites that rely soley on feeds for content.
23 AugRoxie Update 8/23/06
Well, it’s been a few days since I updated on our new dog, Roxie.
She has really been becoming comfortable in our home. She has been more actively playing with our other dog, Potter and hasn’t had any nervous accidents in a couple of days.
We have schedued a visit with our vet to get Roxie a good look over and get a couple shots if needed. We will be boarding the two dogs at Animal Care Center while we go on our trip to Iowa.
Roxie is still not willing to venture upstairs to the bedrooms. I carried her upstairs the other day, lets just say I don’t want to do that again! I decided that I won’t rush her, she’ll go up when she’s ready.
21 AugBradsblog Makeover
I have had this blog for some time now, and as I sit here at work I realize that I need to pay more attention to how the site is dispolayed in Internet Explorer. I use Firefox at home, and there are a lot of issues.
I think I will put my blog through a makeover. To start, I need to do something about the sidebar. I really don’t care myuch for the check marks for links.
I also need to do something with the footer links. I can probably do away with some of them or move them into the sidebar somewhere.
I am open to other suggestions from the readers. After all, it is you who reads this, you might as well give input!
21 AugHow Old is Casey Kasem?

I was listening to the American Top 40 last night on my way in to work. It has been a few years since I listened, and had fond memories of listening to Casey Kasem growing up.
Last night had a different feel to it. Not to sound rude or disrespectful, but he sounded kinda old. I had to wonder how old he really was.
My Google research told me quickly that he was 74. I wonder how many more years he’ll go on before retirement?!?!
20 AugFor Love of the Blog
I was reading on nektros – Cynicism in a Hot Dish where the writer talks about having ads on a blog, and it made me think for a minute. Why do I have ads on my blog?
It’s not as if I really rake in the $$ by serving up ads, and it does seem to be an inconvenience for the readers. So why have them?
Sure, I would like to say that I am blogging for the money, but in reality, if I break down the amount I get paid vs. the time I put into blogging, the hourly wage would be similar to that of a six year old Chinese sweat shop worker.
I am going to give this some real thought, and thanks to the post I read, might eliminate all ads altogether and simply blog because I like to.
19 AugInconsiderate People

I went to a local Petsmart with two of my children, and my two dogs to pick up some supplies. While we were there, there was this older guy with a huge, furry, white dog. The dog squatted down and started urinating on the floor. The man noticed this, then started walking with his dog.
While walking, the dog continued to do his business and created a flood on the floor that dragged on for nearly twenty feet. This guy knew of what was happening, yet he acted oblivious and continued out of the store.
I know that there are people like this out there, and I don’t know why it bothers me.
Some people!
