I have always known that you should wait until New Years to take down your Christmas Tree. This year, we took our stuff down last night. We have a lot going on this weekend so we probably won’t have time, and we really have a great desire to get our house back in order.
We still have our green rope lights out around the front porch, and the green twinkle lights in the shrubs in the front. These are coming down today or tomorrow, then our house will be back to normal.
Am I a grinch for bailing out of the holiday season early?
I don’t think so.

Have you ever heard of the 12 days of Christmas? If you are counting, we are on day 5. Just because the Christmas shopping season is over, does not mean that Christmas is over. Traditionally, the big Christmas celebration was not on Christmas eve or Christmas day, but actually the 12th night of Christmas.
