About two weeks ago, I switched from Microsoft Internet Explorer to Firefox as my web browser. I was hesitant at first, because I have always used Internet Explorer. But recently I have been hearing good things about it, including how it loads faster. I decided to give it a try. After I installed it, I made a couple of observations.
First, the program itself seems to load a little slower, but barely. Once loaded, the web pages in fact do load faster.
Another difference is that I had always used Norton’s Password Manager to maintain the hundreds of usernames and passwords. This does not seem to work with Firefox, or if it does, I don’t know how to do it. However, Firefox has it’s own password manager that works just fine. The only drawback is that you have to put them in initially the first time.
Overall, I am glad I switched over to Firefox. If you are still using Internet Explorer, I would encourage you to at least try it and you be the judge. I have intalled a button in the sidebar to easily install Firefox on your computer. The best part is that it’s free!
