As expected, Washington Democrats are screaming that the new Supreme Court Justice nominee, Samuel Alito, is entirely too conservative to replace Sandra Day O’conner. Sandra Day O’Conner, who has historically been the Supreme Court swing vote, announced her intention to retire this last July. So, after I hear about how we need to have someone that is like Sandra Day O’Conner, all I have to say is “Quit whiningâ€. Either he is qualified for the job or he isn’t. I guess they would be complaining if President Bush nominated an extreme left winger because he probably would not vote like Mrs. O’Conner did. This, of course, is just my 2 cents.
