We replaced aluminum casement windows with Gilkey high efficiency heat mirron, kripton filled casement windows in 1997. We chose Gilkey after extensive research because of for energy efficiency and noise reduction.

Over the years several windows and seals have broken. Replacement time was between 4-8 weeks.
Unfortunatelly, Gilkey replaced broken windows with a lower grade window (less energy efficiency and noise reduction). Sent several emails and made calls to Gilkey. They make promises to get back with me but nothing after alost 2 years. We were very pleased with the original windows energy savings and performaance. However, we are not pleased with energy savings and overall performance of the lower grad windows.

Would I buy Gilkey again? Not certain.

I have looked at a lot of windows these past few weeks for the replacement of our old vinyl windows.
Was very impressed with Gilkey. But I think you got hosed on the doors. Gilkey dosen't make doors and you can bet that the marked up is high with doors comparable to what you can get elsewhere (Home Depot, Lowes).
BTW...I will be getting Gilkey windows. They are truly a superior in design and window construction.

Still happy with the windows? We are looking into Gilkey. They were about $3000 more than other installations, but seem to have a superior product. I think that I am going to call back and ask for your salesman. Honestly, one of the things holding us back on ordering the windows is the saleman. All he talked about is how poor the other brands are.

Please email me and let me know how your windows are doing.

Thanks,

Jason
