I decided to write this post after I got chewed out by my lovely wife for not tipping the truck driver that delivered our new loft bed. He unloaded the pallet from the truck, it was quite heavy. I helped him moved the pallet around, then once it was out of the truck, he used a hand jack and we moved the pallet from the street up and into my garage. The journey was about 50 feet.
So I didnââ¬â¢t feel the need to tip this guy. I figured he was doing his job. Why should I tip everybody for everything? I get tired of it. I tip well at restaurants, even if the service is bad. I tip the pizza man a couple bucks. I tip the newspaper delivery guy. I tip the barber.
I ask you, am I out of line? Should I have tipped?
