Al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Zarqawi may have been killed yesterday in a firefight in Mosul. Reports are unconfirmed at this point.
Update:
US Officials claim they have nothing to base this on other than they acted on a tip that claimed a high level “Al Qaeda in Iraq” leader was in the house. The reason the media thinks he may be killed is becasue a known terrorist website claims he was killed.

The reason the media reports it is because they can allude to the possiblity of a big story in hopes you will tune in find out then while you are there get a load of the rest of the crap they are serving up.
