My wifeââ¬â¢s cousin sent her a chain letter this holiday season. She had all the good intentions.
Leave it to me to shoot down good intentions.
Itââ¬â¢s the whole thought of chain letters that get to me.
Hereââ¬â¢s how it went:
Cousin sent my wife a letter, talking about how the system works. Instead of sending money, you send instant lottery tickets.
If you donââ¬â¢t want to participate, she asks that you send the lottery ticket back.
This was all fine and dandy, but hat happens when the chain letter crosses state lines? Now if the recipient finds a winning ticket, they have to claim it by mail.
Is this going overboard in the do-gooder department? Or am I just being a grinch.
